Upper Canada College:

The Upper Canada College Blues enter the 26-27 season with new jerseys and a renewed focus for the year. Building on a demanding campaign with many tough matchups last year, our Prep team is excited to welcome several key members of our highly accomplished U16 team, including five OHL draft picks. Headlining that list is defenceman Turner Stephenson, selected in the third round by the Owen Sound Attack, and Christian Del Buono was picked by the Erie Otters in the fourth round.

Outside the program, we have recruited three new faces to the UCC campus: OHL-drafted defensemen Cooper Ross and Dawson O’Connor, and forward Ryder Evans. These additions join a strong core of returnees, forming a lineup with speed, skill and grit throughout.

Outside of the team itself, there have been a number of improvements to our facilities, highlighted by the resizing of our main rink to NHL dimensions and the addition of a full weight room alongside it. Our head coach and director of hockey, Daniel Noble, has helped usher in a new era of hockey at the school, with our U15, U16 and Prep teams all achieving success.

On the bench, Daniel Leavens returns as an assistant coach, along with new addition Zack Fitzgerald, who brings both playing and coaching experience in the NHL. Upper Canada College looks forward to the weekends at Stanstead in September and New Brunswick in October, and is excited to host the weekend in January. They look forward to the finals weekend at Ridley in February, with their sights firmly set on recapturing the trophy they lifted in 2025.

It is an honour and a privilege to be a part of the CPSHA. The growth of the league and the exposure that it brings has been incredible, not just for the five programs but also for all the student-athletes who participate in it. UCC looks forward to another great year of competition in the CPSHA and beyond.
